Rent-to-Own Process

At WheelWish, we make owning a car achievable through a structured rent-to-own program. Whether you are a business owner, entrepreneur with a steady income, or permanently employed, our program is designed to help you get on the road with ease.

Check if
you Qualify

Before applying, ensure that you meet the minimum requirements for the WheelWish rent-to-own program:

Monthly Income: you must earn R35,000 or more.
Initiation Fee Requirement: You must have at least 20% of the car’s value. (e.g., for a car priced at R100,000, you will need R20,000 as an upfront initiation fee).
Valid Driver’s Licence (South African or international, if applicable).
Valid South African ID or a valid passport and work permit.

Apply Online

Once you qualify complete the quick and secure online application form.
Attach the following documents:

Valid Driver’s License
Copy of South African ID or Valid Passport
Proof of Address (not older than 3 months, e.g., utility bill, lease, or bank letter)
3 Months’ payslips
3 Months’ Bank Statements
6 Months’ Bank Statements, if self-employed

Provisional Approval

With provisional approval in place, confirm the exact vehicle you wish to take through the rent-to-own program. Our team will assist you to ensure the vehicle meets your lifestyle, business, and financial needs.

Documents/proof required at this step:

Confirmation of your initiation fee (20% of vehicle value)

Drive and Enjoy

Sign rent-to-own contract
Tracker fitted in vehicle
After completing your rent-to-own term (typically five years), the vehicle is officially yours. There are no hidden costs or surprise fees – the car you’ve been driving becomes your own.

Get Final Approval

Once you have selected your vehicle:

Proof of initiation fee payment
Validation of the application

Choose your Vehicle

After submitting your application and documents, our team will review your financial eligibility and provide provisional approval. This means you are closer to driving your selected vehicle, provided all information checks out.
